The silence has been lifted from Niantic about Generation 2. Well, sort of. Unfortunately it appears that tomorrow they will not be releasing as we reported and many other websites around the internet. Instead, Niantic has left us with an announcement of an announcement. It has been confirmed that Monday December 12th, Niantic will shed some light on the Johto 100. It has also been announced that Niantic and Sprint are teaming to bring you 10,500 more Poké Stops and Gyms at Sprint Stores. Pokémon Go Update 12/7/16
While we are all eagerly awaiting the next wave of Pokémon, which hopefully is tomorrow, Niantic has released a new patch for Pokémon Go. iPhone and Android users will start seeing an update rolling out soon for Pokémon Go with the versions hitting 0.49.1 and 1.19.1 respectively. Pokémon Go Christmas Event Detailed
Update 12/20/16 – Just wanted to point out that this is probably no longer what we will be having for the Christmas event. As of right now, everything below is unconfirmed and a rumor.
With the success of the Pokémon Go Halloween event, it was only a matter of time before they announced one for Christmas as well. Yesterday we reported that the second generation of Pokémon may be releasing in just a couple of days. What effect this will have on the Christmas event has yet to been announced. But we do know what Pokémon will be appearing…
