One of the main draws to any Pokémon game is battling against other players. Whether it’s on the 3Ds or on Pokémon Go for mobile phones, it’s a test of who’s going to be the very best “like no one ever was!” Today, we’re going to recap what the best attackers and defenders are since the generation 2 release.
Niantic Labs has started rolling out a warning to players about using third party apps with their Pokémon Go game. This includes any app that allows users to “change the way the game is played” and not how Niantic intended for it to be played. These include Pokémon finder apps, gps spoofing, and IV calculators.
Pokémon Sun and Moon: Guardians Rising is just a few short months away from releasing. The Pokémon Sun & Moon expansion did very well, it got players back into the game that have been away from it a long time while also bringing in some new ones (such as me). Nintendo and Game Freak have announced the distribution of the Mewtwo Mega Stones for Pokémon Sun and Moon. They are planning on releasing most Mega Stones via distribution over a period of time. Beedrill will be the next distribution as it will be receiving Beedrillite and Mawilite for entering in the 2017 International Challenge which begins on March 7th 2017. A shared serial code will be given out in April for both of these.
Niantic has announced three new features that will be coming to Pokémon Go this year. These new features could revitalize the whole game and get players that have dropped the game back into it. One of those features will be an all-new revamped gym system, which is greatly needed. The other two will be trading and PVP. New details have come out about how trading will work. The 20th movie in the Pokémon franchise, dubbed “Pokémon I Choose You”, has just received its first trailer. The trailer honestly doesn’t show much more than what you’ve probably already seen. It is also in Japanese, as an English version has not yet been released.
Hot on the heels of the announcement of the Pokémon Advance Complete Collection comes yet another DVD announcement from Viz Media. The 19th movie in the long line of Pokémon movies will be releasing next month on DVD. It premiered on December 5th, 2016 on Disney XD. If you missed the chance to watch it then, you will now have your chance to buy it very soon!
February 27th, a.k.a. Pokémon day, marks the day the Pokémon video game debuted in Japan back in 1996. This makes it Pokémon’s 21st birthday. To celebrate this grand day, Nintendo, Niantic, Game Freak, and more are hosting special events on the day and throughout the week. This of course means a Pokémon Go Event.
