February 27th, a.k.a. Pokémon day, marks the day the Pokémon video game debuted in Japan back in 1996. This makes it Pokémon’s 21st birthday. To celebrate this grand day, Nintendo, Niantic, Game Freak, and more are hosting special events on the day and throughout the week. This of course means a Pokémon Go Event.

For those of you out there who may be home celebrating the holidays, don’t forget that Niantic has Pokémon Go event going on right now. This event will last until January 8th which includes the Starter Pokémon of Kanto (and their evolutions) being more available to find. In addition, Lure Models last 60 minutes instead of their usual 30 minutes.
