Nintendo and Game Freak have announced the second Global Mission for Pokémon Sun & Moon today. While the first event didn’t reach the goal, Game Freak stated they were using it as a reference to where they need to set the goals going forward. With that being said, hopefully this time the goal will definitely be more achievable. In the last event, Pokémon trainers were tasked with catching 100,000,000 Pokémon. Needless to say, we feel very short of that goal as a community.
The next event, which will start on December 27th at 04:00 UTC and will run until January 9th 2017 23:59, will task Pokémon trainers with capturing or defeating Pokémon using the “Island Scan” feature in the game.
Here is the official blurb about the task ahead:
Task: Use Island Scan to capture or defeat 1,000,000 Pokémon
Duration: December 27th 2016 04:00 UTC – January 9th 2017 23:59
Reward: 2,017 FC (Success), 217 FC (Failure) – If the game is tied to a Global Link account: 4,034 FC (Success), 434 FC (Failure)
